A charming village full of surprises!

Lançon is a book of history still open.

Thanks to the Lançonnais who managed to preserve this place across centuries, you will discover a rich heritage of history and architecture.

You will travel back in time by wandering around Lançon: building facades, doors, private mansions, religious monuments … are historical testimonies.

The surroundings of the village are full of treasures.

Archaeological sites

The oppidum of Constantine
These fortified dwellings date back to 2nd century B.C. and are located on the domaine de Calissanne. Free access is not permitted, but visits can be organised.

Coudounèu

It is supposed to be a granary farm. A small community would have lived here. The site is dated 5th century B.C.

Archaeological exhibition room


A showroom is dedicated to the Coudounèu site. You will find in this modern refurbished space ceramics, ornaments, jars as well as the recreated base of a hut originating from this site.
